CHILD CARE SPECIALIST
Overview of Position:
Harris, Rothenberg International provides work and family benefits to corporations nationwide. Our organization is seeking individuals to work as part of a team, helping parents to locate child care and to learn more about their child’s behavior and development.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing child care consultation and referral services
- Responding to parent requests for child care information and referrals
- Discussing parenting, child development and behavioral challenges with parents
- Writing articles about parenting topics
- Creating content for HRI’s web site
- Conducting follow-up contacts with parents and resources
- Managing a national, computerized child care database
- Researching child care providers, programs and agencies
- Uncovering and developing new resources
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Family Studies, Psych or related field
- Experience and knowledge of the child care delivery system
- 2-3 years direct work (preferably in a child care setting) with families and children
- Good telephone, researching, organization, and communication skills
- Computer experience
