Harris, Rothenberg International Responds to Troubled Economy with Public Resources

Company Provides Public Information on Coping with Financial Uncertainty,
Creates Additional Economic Resources for Businesses

New York, Oct. 29, 2008 — Harris, Rothenberg International (HRI) today announced that it is opening its economic resource guide to the general public. The online Coping with Economic Uncertainty tool is available free of charge at www.harrisrothenberg.com.

“The current economic crisis is far beyond anything most of us have ever experienced, and the personal and emotional toll that financial stress takes can be astonishing,” said Edward Trieber, JD, PhD, managing director of HRI. “Coping with Economic Uncertainty is designed to alleviate that stress and help people find practical solutions to their economic concerns.”

Coping with Economic Uncertainty specifically addresses what precautions to take in an economic downturn and shares expert advice on ways to manage stress in a difficult financial environment. It also introduces topics such as foreclosure prevention and managing credit and debt.

In addition to making these resources available to the general public, HRI has expanded its client tools focused on finance to provide additional information for businesses. The company has produced two handbooks on economic uncertainties: one designed for employees, the other for managers. The employee resource goes into detail about the services Employee Assistance Programs offer, from tips for coping to advice on how to work with creditors. The handbook for supervisors includes reports of how to manage in uncertain times and how to help employees deal with change.

“Employees are financially savvy and want to know what their employers are doing about stocks, how they can safeguard their 401Ks and beyond,” indicated Trieber. “That’s where our business resources come in. It’s our hope that these new handbooks help alleviate the stress that both the employer and the employee are feeling.”

In addition to the above guides, HRI also hosted a teleconference with client organizations on October 22 that focused on coping techniques and ways to communicate with employees to help them navigate through these difficult and uncertain times.
